People in many cities have expressed interest in joining in the celebration of Community Healing Days. To meet the need for resources at the local level, CHN will provide materials and technical assistance to leaders to help them encourage their families, neighbors, and friends to put the work of emotional healing at the top of their lists of priorities.

Community Healing Network, Inc. (CHN) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization.  Funds raised by the Community Healing Network, Inc. (CHN) will be used to support its movement-building initiatives, including, among other things:

1. To promote and expand the celebration of Community Healing Days^SM
To support CHN’s online organizing work and to increase the number of--and expand the level of technical assistance and support provided to—cities celebrating Community Healing Days in the United States and abroad.

2. To support the programs of the Community Healing Institute^SM
To refine and expand the workshops and trainings of trainers offered by the Community Healing Institute, which creates safe spaces for story-sharing, community dialogues, and popular education to promote emotional healing and renewal.

3. To establish an annual Community Healer Awards^SM event
To follow up on the presentation of the first Global Community Healer Awards to Dr. Maya Angelou with future presentations of Community Healer Awards to local, national, and global leaders who are helping us as a people to “see ourselves in a whole new light.”^SM.
